Callipygian Christensen spins her wonderful collection of great jazz and blues from the past and present, with a strong focus on some of the greatest ladies of jazz and blues along with an occasional deliciously suggestive tangent. Calli, will take your requests and spin them up for your enjoyment.

DJ Brother Bear Thursdays 8:30 PM for 2 hours or more.

DJ Bear Rasmuson spins the finest blues. His extensive collection covers contemporary, classic and some rare blues. Brother Bear's deep appreciation and shared knowledge of his collection adds richness to the soul American music.

Come on down to The Twilight Blues & Jazz Club every Thursday night and turn up the volume. Get out on the floor and dance or pull yourself up to the bar and enjoy music and atmosphere. See if you can stump the Bear with request he cannot fulfill.

Whats coming up at Twilight Blues and Jazz....

Every Tuesday in December beginning December 2nd and until he no longer wants to play them we will be hosting Komuso Tokugawa , Bringing the Boogie to the Bitstream at 7 PM SLT. What an awesome musician ! We are very excited to have him in our lineup :)

As always the Jazzologist Miles will play for us his awesome mix of jazz and blues every Sunday from 3 to 5 PM SLT. Sunday is one of my favorite SL days ! Be sure to come in and listen and win some prizes as Miles asks trivia questions based on his show that day. Again a huge thanks goes out to Ms Kiyla Dreamscape of Purely Wiked for making sure we had awesome trivia prizes !! Please check out Purely Wiked next door to the club, awesome designs!

Another newcomer to the Twilight stage December 4th at 7PM SLT...DaveSmall Finesmith! Dave came out of Missouri and landed in Boulder, when it was so hot with all the great studios and rock stars, by way of Gainesville, FL, and Colorado Springs. Bullet , his band... was a popular and regular fixture in Boulder during those times, when Dave relocated to LA for one last run before disco and punk swallowed up guitar-based rock.

The lovely songstress Ichie Kamachi will join us again on stage December 5th and December 19th at 8PM SLT !! She will have some romance for you and some Holiday tunes as well, so grab you best dress and best gal or guy and your fav dancing shoes and join us for this voice of an angel!

December 9th we have Lonnie Nightfire aka Lonnie Knight back at 6PM SLT , " Tall and thin, his presence while playing the guitar gives him the appearance of an authority looking down calmly on his six-string subject; but it's the actual sound from the instrument, the pure music he makes of the guitar, that confirms the authority. December 12th we will have Strummer Vultee back at 2PM SLT ! Strummer Vultee is from Tulsa Oklahoma, where tornado's are expected. Should have known he would come to SL just like a tornado and leave his audience amazed and dazed. But instead of heading for shelter, they go out looking for the next time he hits the grid! Strummer is an awesome RL/SL musician. He can play keyboard, guitar, and his harmonica will blow you away! But what will really rock your soul his is voice. It is very powerful and moving. Although he can play a wide variety of music, he really brings it home when he plays the blues!

Still booking more entertainment for you for the month of December and will post it as I have it finalized.

Be sure to check out all the hard work Lazlo has been putting in at the club and around the sim :). We have a new game room upstairs with 2 playable pool tables as well as playable darts and an awesome intimate balcony for a dance ! Be sure to check out the fabulous art work on the walls up there by the lovely artist Callipygian Christensen, she has some great works in the Gallery on the hill too !

BUT wear your boots :) snow has fallen over Twilight and its beautiful , Lazlo has created a winter wonderland with ice skating and ice fishing too! Watch his blog for a coming merchant / resident decoration contest!

For those of you who have not yet stopped in Sundays at 3pm SLT for Miles .... you're missing a great time! Miles has the best jazz and blues collection Ive heard on SL and if thats not enough ...he asked the best trivia questions based on blues and jazz. Hes stumped a few of us , but a few of us have stumped him back !

Kiyla Dreamscape of Purely Wiked Designs donated gifts to us for Miles trivia winners this past sunday and we really appreicate her ! So while you're on the sim please stop over to the store and check it out!

Lazlo has been doing some redecorating, we have a new votebox and donation box near the front door and brand new barstools , a latte machine and new beer taps too ! The biggest redecorating is a huge secret tho but I can tell you what I do know ...the club is getting a facelift !! I'm excited about that...a coming soon .... the game room ! So the club is going to be an even more fun hangout !

Im working on Decembers line up for you as well... watch for a possible community christmas carol and a merchant , resident contest as well !!

We have added a few more shows to finish out an awesome November and have begun to plan a December calender and have plans in the works for an awesome Christmas in the square!

So November 29th merchant's...residents begin to deck your halls !!!! You never know when a Twilight elf will drop something good down your chimney!

Now lets talk about our club schedule...

We have added our favorite and old friend and popular Second Life blues man, Kelvinblue Oh on November 19th at 3 PM SLT.
"It ain't the blues if you ain't paid the dues."
And Kevin Allen Navy sure has paid his fair share.
But no litany of woes for this bluesman, though.
For Kevin, the blues are a celebration of life, an affirmation that at the end of the journey is salvation.

November 22nd at 3 PM SLT a newcomer to Twilight Blues and Jazz as well as Second Life but absolutely not a newcomer to music , we welcome Jukebox Diesel to our stage.
Jukebox Diesel is a newcomer to SL and currently performs, mostly 6 string acoustic guitar based cover songs with the occasional ,original instrumental thrown in to the set.The following are some examples of the artists that Juke covers.
John Martyn, Damien Rice, The Blue Nile, Paul Brady, Ani DiFranco, Kelly Joe Phelps, Iron and Wine, Dire Sraits, Richard Thompson, Tom Waits, Joni Mitchell, The Stones, Billy Joel, Bread, Thomas Dybdahl, Bob Marley and Was(not was), to name a few. Drawing from a long and varied musical background, Jukes style of playing for Sl will be mostly a soft played fingerpicking acoustic Guitar to accompany his voice.
In RL, he has been playing acoustic and electric guitar for many years and is a keen bass guitar player and drummer/percussionist. Having played in numerous bands in his native Scotland, Juke has also worked as a studio session musician, a sound designer for film and continues to write and produce music for other people from his studio at home. He also teaches multitrack recording at his local college and is keen to work with musicians and sound engineers/producers from all musical backgrounds and styles.

Another newcomer to our stage on November 25th at 6 PM SLT , Mr Trowzer Boa joins us for the 1st time but not the last, Trowzer joins our regular line up once a month on every 4th Tuesday! I'm very excited to have him join us and I think you will be as well! He brings his *Robot Band * with him :) .
RL saxophonist/composer Dave Renz. Dave Renz performs on the east Coast, playing mainly acoustic jazz. For information about his latest projects and products check him out at http://www.daverenz.com. The Robot Band symbolizes the music programs used to create the sounds you hear tonight...any voice and sax you hear is me, live...any other sound is created through a series of software packages. Working with the robot band allows me to provide a great sound in sl, yet still play my instrument live and spontaneously.

Saxophonist Trowzer Boa plays jazz in SL, incorporating styles he's played in rl for the past 20 years...funk/blues/world music/jazz, all come together in a funky danceable set.
Backed by the Robot Band (his concept comes to second life thanks to designer Prim Chemistry), Trowzer captures the essence of spontaneous jazz and the funky fun nature of second life in one dynamic show.
Packed with original songs and surprising covers as you've never heard them, every set is different....listen, dance, enjoy! His rl and sl recordings are a staple in the rotation of DJ VJ Shojo.
Because of his vast performing and recording experiences in rl, Trowzer will put together a show that's right for you and your venue...from funky alto smooth grooves to smokey swinging tenor...from hip-hop to samba, the shows reflect the venue where they are performed.

Twilighters, for those of you that have not yet joined for Sunday afternoon Jazz with DJ Miles at 3pm you have truely missed and awesome afternoon.

A couple weeks ago he began asking us jazz trivia questions as we danced and enjoyed his tunes and its taken on a life of its own !! We have added Seba Sideways to our November line up Twilighters , he will be joining us on the 7th of November at 4pm SLT.

Seba Sideways is a great SL jazz standards player. His music brings tribute to jazz saxophonists’ Charlie Parker and Sonny Rollins, some of the best saxophonists’ in jazz history. His tribute also includes Thelonius Monk, American jazz pianist and composer. Seba also pays commendation and honor to the influential Carlos Jobim, Brazilian songwriter, composer, singer and pianist/guitarist and a primary force behind the creation of the bossa nova style.

Seba has been playing the sax for over 14 years and has been a member of several distinct groups of reggae, rock, funk and latin. If you are ever in the mood to enjoy a smooth and relaxing time, join with him. Seba includes various styles of music from jazz, bossa nova and blues. Seba has a very unique way of playing and sounding the tango.
